RUNNING for a CURE!

 As a TEAM IN TRAINING athlete, I'm used to running.  Just not like this.  As a nominee for Woman of the Year, I'm not doing laps in the hot sun or freezing cold.  I'm not nursing blisters or sunburns.  I'm not drinking nasty concoctions or choking down supplements.  Should be easy, right???

Wrong!!!  This is the hardest thing that I have ever done.  A ten week fundraising campaign with a goal of $40,000???  That is NOT easy. 

However, what does come easy for me is asking people to help the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. That's money that goes to cancer research and patient support, for our children, mothers, dads, brothers, sisters, and even our pets.  Because cancer doesn't make exceptions for our four-legged friends.

I personally know hundreds of people who refuse to accept the curse of cancer without fighting back.  If you are one of those people, and if you would like to help in this effort, please make a donation today through the link below.  Your donation supporting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society helps fund life-saving research, and provide comfort in the form of patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services.  Any donation in excess of $150 will receive a ticket to the Journey of Hope Black Tie Gala on May 21, and will bring us that much closer to a CURE!!!!  Donations in excess of $50 will get a ticket to the Creative Black Tie on June 11 (until sold out).  Please print your receipt as your ticket for either event.
